Title of presentation: The IoT 5G Network Infrastructures and the IoT Data Store & Share Platform: challenges and opportunities

In current IoT scenario Network and Platforms infrastructures play an important role for Data collection and availability. Currently many vertical and closed solutions are available on the market. This is a strong limitation to the development of the IoT “many billions” scenario. The Networks Infrastructures and the IoT Platforms shall be horizontal and open enabling new ecosystems and scale economies in the IoT business. Main network technological trends and solutions like short range radio networks, NBIoT, 5G are presented highlighting the main challenges and opportunities. On the other hand also the data store & share paradigm for IoT Platform as defined for example in ETSI M2M and ONEM2M are described as powerful tools for open data to new business ecosystems.
