BA Bocar A

Bocar BA is a prominent management consulting, business development, and advocacy expert, renowned throughout the Middle East and Africa regions primarily for his professional work within the telecommunications industry. He globally heads International Telecommunication Union (ITU)'s Chief Regulatory Officers Meeting, a think-tank devoted to representing the interests of telecoms and ICT sector, worldwide.

BA, as CEO, leads SAMENA Telecommunications Council, active within the South Asia - Middle East - North Africa region on digital development advocacy and sector partnerships between the private and the government sectors. He also globally chairs International Telecommunication Union (ITU)'s Chief Regulatory Officers Meeting, a think-tank devoted to representing the interests of telecoms and ICT private sector, worldwide; serves on the m-Powering Development Initiative's Advisory Board; and is the chairman of the m-Powering Development Initiative's Working Group on Partnerships.
 
He has spearheaded major initiatives in the interest of the telecoms industry. As a knowledge contributor on digital development through effective policymaking and as a strong believer in the need for realizing industry-wide collaboration and achieving socio-economic progress through ICT and incentivized digitization, Bocar has been a speaker at global industry platforms. He has built new global alliances as well as a strong ICT advocacy network to help address critical technology-centric and policy-level issues, currently being encountered within the communications industry.

Bocar also serves as director and board member in the leadership teams of several companies, active in the areas of technology, management, and consultancy services. He is actively involved in the privatization processes in the MEA region and drives various investment projects, aiming to link new development opportunities throughout the region.
