'Niyi Ajao is the Executive Director (Technology & Operations) at the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc (NIBSS) in Lagos, Nigeria. He has been with the company for the last 13 years, after spending 9 years at Societe Generale Bank (now Heritage Banking Corporation) where he left as Head of Information Technology. He is an alumni of the Lagos Business School Advanced Management Programme. At NIBSS, he actively participates in, and speaks at, industry fora on Nigeria payment system practices and policies, and on payments innovation.
He holds the B.Sc. (Computer science& Economics) degree and MBA of University of Ife, Nigeria (now Obafemi Awolowo University), and M.Sc. (Computer Sciences) degree of the University of Lagos. He taught Mathematics and Computer Sciences at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria, for 4 years before joining banking.
‘Niyi speaks English. He is married and has 4 children. He is an amateur astronomer, and loves adventure travelling.
