Kim Hendi is a creative
stakeholder engager experienced in ICT policy for innovation and
development. She has worked as a
consultant for the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and as a
senior officer for the Canadian Ministry of Innovation Science and Economic
Development, formerly Industry Canada (currently on leave).
Kim led the dissemination of Canada’s Smart
Communities program and Connectivity Agenda to Latin America. She was born in
Montreal, Quebec, Canada and lived a great part of her life in Buenos Aires,
Argentina. She brings a unique
multi-cultural and multi-sector perspective to her work advancing
human-centered developments involving communities, networks, and multiple
stakeholders.
Kim holds a Bachelor
degree in Business Administration, a Master’s degree in International Affairs
and a PhD in Political Science.
Kim Hendi es investigadora de políticas TIC para la innovación y desarrollo, y experta en la formulación de proyectos con múltiples-actores Se ha desempeñando como consultora para la Agencia Canadiense de Desarrollo Internacional (ACDI) y como funcionaria principal para el Ministerio canadiense de Innovación, Ciencia y Desarrollo Económico, anteriormente conocido como Industry Canada (actualmente con licencia).
Kim lideró la difusión de los programa de Comunidades Inteligentes y la Agenda de Conectividad de Canadá en América Latina. Nació en Montreal, Quebec, Canadá y vivió gran parte de su vida en Buenos Aires, Argentina. Kim aporta una particular perspectiva multicultural y multisectorial a su labor y en la promoción de desarrollos centrados en los individuos, involucrando a las comunidades, redes, y múltiples actores.
Kim es Licenciada en Administración de Empresas, Máster en Relaciones Internacionales y Doctora en Ciencia Política.

Ottawa-based ICT researcher and stakeholder engager Dr. Kim Hendi analyzes her experiences and lessons learned leading the dissemination of Canada's Connectivity and Smart Communities experiences to Latin America, and shares her vision of what requires the attention for Smart/Digital/Green Cities to promote citizen engagement, empower youth innovation, advance the 2030 sustainable development goals, namely addressing the digital divide, through human-centered design methods and ICT experience.
