José Pérez is currently CEO of Recyclia, Economic Interest Grouping that encompasses four foundations (Ecopilas, Ecoasimelec, Ecofimática and Tragamóvil) aimed to the management of waste electrical and electronic equipment and spent batteries and accumulators. He is also the President of Tragamovil and Ecopilas and General Director of Ecoasimelec and Ecofimática Foundations.
From 1987 to 2010 he was the General Director of ASIMELEC, the Spanish Association for ICT industries. Later, from 2010 to 2012, he was the General Director of AMETIC, the result of the merger of ASIMELEC and AETIC, the most representative associations in the sector.
He is a current member of the Board of Director of EUCOBAT (European association of national collection schemes for batteries).
Mr. Pérez received a PhD in Law from the University Complutense of Madrid, a Degree in Communitarian Law (Law Practise School of Madrid), a Degree of Companies Consultant (Law Practise School of Madrid) and a Degree in Companies Management (IESE- Navarra University).
Finally, he has been bestowed with the 2010 Personality of the Year Award (Byte TI Magazine) and the Best Professional Career Award 2010 (Korazza Consulting).
