FRANCA Joan

Mr. Joan França is specialist for international affairs and sustainability of the International Relations Office of Rio de Janeiro State Government, where he is responsible for coordinating the international agenda on sustainable development and climate change.

Currently, he is also project manager for RegionsAdapt, in the Network of Regional Governments for Sustainable Development (nrg4SD), which is the first global initiative for regional governments to take concrete action, cooperate, and report their efforts.

Mr. França holds a Global Executive Master in Public Administration of the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, and a MBA of the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation.
