CHEUNG Taesik

CheungTaesik.pngTaesik Cheung is a principal researcher in Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), South Korea. He holds B.S., M.S. and Ph. D. degrees in electronics engineering from Yonsei University, South Korea.

After completing his Ph. D. study in the area of high-speed circuit design in 2000, he started working for ETRI, where he was engaged in system hardware design such as flow-based QoS switches, Carrier Ethernet switches and packet-optical integrated transport systems.

Since 2005, he has participated in ITU-T Q9/15 and contributed to standardization of G.8031, G.8032, G.808.1 and G.808.3. His current work focuses on standardization of MPLS-TP shared mesh protection in IETF MPLS WG and multipoint Ethernet connection protection in ITU-T Q9/15.
