Mr. Munsey is the CEO and President of ALG eCycling.
James graduated from the University of South Carolina with degrees in Business Administration and Political Science.
A lifelong entrepreneur, James has developed, acquired and invested in several companies during his career thus far, many within the technology space.
During his development of an IT asset recovery business, James saw the tremendous amount of e-waste generated from devices that could not be refurbished.
From this realization he became interested in developing a global business specifically designed to responsibly collect and recycle end-of-life electronics of all sorts. ALG eCycling was founded with this in mind. ALG is based in Richmond, Virginia and has regional facilities in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Quito, Ecuador; and Antwerp, Belgium. It is owned in a three-way partnership between James and his two partners, both of whom are Ecuador citizens. Today, ALG is active in electronics recycling on five continents and continues to expand.
Outside of his business pursuits, James is active in the community as a Rotarian and board member of the Rotary Club of Innsbrook in Richmond, Virginia where in 2012 he was named Rotarian of the Year out of its 110 members. He is also an active volunteer firefighter with Hanover Fire & EMS. James enjoys aviation and has been a licensed pilot for over 15 years.
