I completed my first degree specializing in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from University of Peradeniya in March 1991. Thereafter, I worked as an Instructor in Departments of Electrical Engineering and Engineering Mathematics, Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya until March 1993. Then I joined Office of the Director General of Telecommunications (Regulatory Body) as Telecommunication Engineer in June 1993 and worked as an Engineer/Technical Standards until February 1998.
I was released to Ministry of Telecommunication in February 1998 and worked there as an Engineer/Maintenance until I was reinstated in Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) in June 2000. I worked as an Assistant Director/ International Relations until March 2013. I have been working as an Assistant Director/ Vendor License & Type Approvals up-to-date.
