SIMBA Ally

Ally Simba received his B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in electronics science and communication from the University of Dar es salaam, Tanzania, in 1998, and the M.E and Ph.D. degrees in electronics and information engineering from Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan, in 2003 and 2006, respectively.

From 2006 to 2011, he was an Expert Researcher with the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology, Tokyo, Japan, where he was involved in research in numerical analysis of the biomedical electromagnetic compatibility, measurements RF fields from mobile phone base stations, and issues on human exposure to RF fields. From June 2011 to August, 2013 he served as the Manager of Planning and Research and Risk Management with the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority. In August, 2013 he was seconded to the Ministry of Communication, Science and Technology were he has been Ag. Director of ICT.

Dr. Simba is a Chartered Engineer, registered with the U.K. Engineering Council. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He has published widely in many different Journals, including the IEEE Transactions, IEIEC transactions of Japan, and IET journal of the UK.
  
He was the recipient of the Japanese Government Scholarship (Monbusho Scholarship) (2000–2006)
