GUMINA Andrea

Born in 1976, married in 2007, since 2014 Dr Gumina serves as an Economic Counsellor at the Cabinet Office of the Italian Minister of Economic Development, advising on innovative industrial policies for Smarter Cities, Start-Ups, Smart Factories (Industry 4.0).

He received his Degree (Laurea) in Economics in 2001 (at Luiss Guido Carli University of Rome), awarded his MA in Ethics in 2004 (at Pontificia Università Lateranense in Rome) and finally his Ph.D. in History and Thoughts of Economics in 2006 (at Luiss Guido Carli University), where he spent four other years as a Research Fellow.

As part of his responsibilities, he has been appointed as:
· Italian Expert of G20 Task Force on Digital Economy (April 2016)
· Member of the Investors’ Committee of Invitalia Ventures (since October 2015)
· Member of the Italian Ministerial Task Force for Smarter Cities (since September 2015)

Furthermore, he also:
· contributed as an Expert to the Rapporteur of the European Economic and Social Committee in drafting a EESC’ own initiative opinion on “Smart Cities as a Driver of a new European Industrial Policy” (TEN/568);
· has been appointed (April 2015) as the national expert on Smart City by the Italian Digital Agency (AgID).

He often participates to dissemination activities on innovation and recently joined the Scientific Committee of Fondazione FORMIT and of Link Campus University’s MA in Smart Public Administration.
