Giampiero Nanni, is responsible for Government Affairs in a number of Countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
He represents Symantec with Governments and Cyber-Security Agencies, as well as with International Organisations like the ITU and the OECD.
He advises on cyber-security matters, and advocates for Administrations to adopt sharp cyber-security strategies to ensure the integrity and resilience of their critical data, infrastructure and services, and the safety of their constituents.
Giampiero also leads the Smart City discussion for Symantec. He pioneered and formalized a conceptual approach to the compelling need for Cyber-Security in Smart Cities developments, in order to ensure protection of the ICT systems involved, the critical infrastructure they control, and the citizen services provided.
His career developed across Italy, USA, France and, currently, the UK. Earlier appointments include Microsoft, IBM, Cisco and Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), predominantly in Public Sector Strategy and Marketing roles in EMEA.
