Biographies

​​​​ ​​Anders Andrae​
Assistant Chief Expert of Environmental Protection Technology, Huawei
Dr. Anders S.G. Andrae received the Ph.D. degree in Microsystems Packaging from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2005. He worked for Ericsson with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) between 1997 and 2001. Between 2006 and 2008 he carried out post–doctoral studies at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Tsukuba, Japan. His speciality is the application of sustainability assessment methodologies to ICT products, networks, services, systems and solutions from cradle–to–grave. He works on many topics in European Telecommunications Standards Institute’s (ETSI), International Telecommunication Union (ITU-T) and the International Electrical Commission (IEC) e.g. methodologies for Product Circularity Scoring, Detailed LCA, Simplified LCA, and Avoided emissions and similar topics. Since 2009 Dr. Andrae has been the Rapporteur and Editor of several ETSI and ITU-T Standards and Technical Reports about LCA and Circular Economy. He has previously published three books and 40 peer–reviewed journal papers. Since 2008 Dr. Andrae has been with Huawei Technologies in Sweden now as Assistant Chief Expert of Environmental Protection Technology.​

Senior Supplier Governance Manager, Telstra
Simon is a member of the Supplier Governance team at Telstra, a global technology and telecommunications company headquartered in Australia. He is based in London, from where he leads Telstra’s CDP supply chain program. Simon also works with industry groups such as the Joint Audit Cooperation (JAC), Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) and the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSMA) to improve social and environmental performance across sectors, regions and global supply chains.
​​ ​​Alex Campbell
Senior Sustainability Consultant, TDC Net
Alex is a Senior Sustainability Consultant at TDC NET, Denmark’s largest provider of digital infrastructure, where he leads the scope 3 and sustainable procurement programmes. Throughout his 15 year career he has focused on making infrastructure more sustainable, from low-carbon building materials, to humanitarian projects at the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) and now in digital infrastructure. He holds a M.Sc. in Sustainable Development specialised in corporate CO2 reporting from Uppsala University, Sweden.
​​ Jean Manuel Canet
Senior Manager, Climate Change, Circular Economy, Orange
Jean Manuel is a Senior Manager, in charge of Climate and Biodiversity in the CSR Department of Orange Group. He has developed an expertise in the assessment of the environmental impact of ICT goods, services and organizations. He earlier led numerous projects to assess and reduce GHG emissions related to IT, for customers such as the European Parliament, France Télévisions or Zurich Financial Services. He serves as Vice-Chairman of ITU-T SG5 and Co-Rapporteur of the “Climate change and assessment of digital technologies in the framework of the SDGs and the Paris Agreement” question. He served as a member of the Advisory Panel of the UNFCCC “Momentum for Change” initiative. He also led projects developing public and private MOOCs (Massive Online Open Courses). Jean-Manuel graduated from Télécom ParisTech and the MBA Programme of the “Collège des Ingénieurs”. He holds a certificate in carbon accountancy from the French National Agency for Energy and Environment and a certificate in carbon finance from Carbone 4 Academy.
Carlo Drauth
Member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Climate Change Working Group, JAC I  Head, Sustainability and Responsible Business​, Telefónica
Carlo Manuel Drauth works as Head of Responsible Business and Human Rights at Telefónica S.A. In this capacity, he is, amongst other things, responsible for Telefónica´s global corporate sustainability due diligence process. Previously, he worked on sustainability issues in the German government as well as in econsense – the Forum for Sustainable Development of German Business. He studied economic and social sciences at the Maastricht University (Netherlands) and Science-Po (France). He holds a PhD from the Hertie School of Governance (Germany).​

​​Raya Hage
Senior Program Manager- The Global Enabling Sustainability Initiative

Raya's academic background includes a Bachelor in Economics, a Masters in Finance, and a Masters in International Relations recently earned from the London School of Economics. Throughout her professional experience, Raya held positions related to Financial Forecasts, Business Analysis and Development, mostly in the technology sector (Fintech, Telco, Cybersecurity, AI, Big Data, Quantum Technology), covering the Middle East, Africa, South Asia, Japan, China, and North American markets.  Raya currently supports GeSI's mission as a Senior Program Manager that marks a career shift towards the ICT for Development and Social Good field. ​

Bilel Jamoussi
Deputy Director, Telecommunication Standardization Bureau, ITU ​

Dr. Bilel Jamoussi, a distinguished engineer and diplomat, serves as the Deputy to the Director and Chief of Telecommunication Standardization Policy Department at the ITU Standardization Bureau (TSB) in Geneva. His mission includes establishing international standards to advance global connectivity and digital transformation. Previously, he was Chief of the Study Groups Department at ITU-TSB (2010-2023). Through this, he paved the way for the creation of digital payments guidelines and standards that aim to foster financial inclusion on a global scale. Key achievements under his tenure have been important new standards while effectively managing staff by recruiting new talent, improving gender balance, delivering new work methods, and staying within budget. Before 2010, he held executive roles, including Director of Standards for Nortel, and contributed to over 90 international standards bodies. With a PhD in Computer Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, he's an IEEE Senior Member and has served on the IEEE-SA Board of Governors. A key voice in the global ICT arena, he's a regular keynote speaker at events like the Global Cybersecurity Forum and is frequently interviewed by top media outlets. Fluent in Arabic, French, and English, with knowledge in Spanish and German, Bilel's global perspective is shaped by his experiences in Tunisia, Canada, the USA, and Switzerland.
Andreas Kröhling
Senior Expert Group Corporate Responsibility, Deutsche Telekom AG

Andreas is working within Group Corporate Responsibility at Deutsche Telekom Headquarters in Bonn since 2011 after many years within different positions in procurement. He is mainly responsible for topics around scope 3 and enablement, including developing internal guidance and methodologies. Andreas is responsible for the CDP rating and the CDP Supply Chain Program, he started in 2013. He is also working in industry groups such as e.g. within the Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) or the EGDC to improve sustainability and environmental performance across sectors, regions and global supply chains.​​
​​Meagh​an Krohn
Emissions CoE Lead, Dell Technologies​

Meaghan leads Dell’s net zero and decarbonization efforts, along with the company’s overall climate strategy. She works with customers to understand their sustainability needs and identify opportunities for partnerships to lower emissions. She is also responsible for the company’s net zero roadmap and annual emissions reporting. She joined Dell from McKesson, where she led the company’s environmental responsibility efforts, including the setting the company’s first-ever greenhouse gas reduction goals, and related strategies for how to achieve them. Based in Portland Maine, she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from McGill University, and her master’s in environmental policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Consulting Principal
Lumen EMEA

Tom is a sustainability researcher and educator, and a Technology Consulting Principle at Lumen. He has held numerous roles in the media and IT industries including production, design, architecture, consulting and business development in settings from startups to large global enterprises. Tom is a recognized expert in ICT sustainability who is regularly called on to give keynote speeches and presentations at events in Europe and the US. He sits on sustainability committees within techUK, the Infrastructure Masons and Greening of Streaming, is an advisor to The Global Enabling Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) and The Sustainable Digital Infrastructure Association (SDIA) and publishes the SustainableIT Newsletter.​
​​ Steven Moore
Head of Climate Action, GSMA
Steven Moore is responsible for the Climate Action Programme at the GSMA, the mobile industry association. His role is to provide leadership to support and accelerate the industry transition to Net Zero by 2050. The success of the programme has led to the mobile industry being recognised by th​e UN as the first breakthrough sector in the Race to Zero. Steven chairs the GSMA Climate Action Taskforce, which has more than 50 mobile operator members globally. He works with the industry on climate policy, strategy and research covering energy efficiency, renewables, supply chain engagement, connectivity to reduce emissions, and climate adaptation and resilience. Steven holds an MSc in Environmental Technology and is an experienced environmental professional having worked on climate action for the past 15 years, at BT, as a consultant at Deloitte, and for the innovative start-up, dcarbon8.

Mats Pellbäck Scharp
Head of Sustainability 
Mats is Head of Sustainability at Ericsson with responsability for climate action, circular economy, energy performance as well as product portfolio aspects of digital inclusion and triple bottom line impact of products, services and company operations. During Mats' leadership, the company has set and successfully concluded first generation of targets approved by the Science Based Target initiative to be on a 1.5°C trajectory. Mats is representing Ericsson in various boards and advisory roles such as the CEO Alliance, WEF CEO Climate Leaders senior advisors' group and on the board oh The Pathway Coalition as well as member of the steering group for the Exponential Climate Action Roadmap. ​

​​ John Pflueger
Co-chair, Climate Committee, GeSI
John Pflueger, Ph.D., is Dell Technologies' Principal Environmental Strategist. In this role, John is responsible for driving Dell's corporate strategies on issues around Environmental Sustainability – including energy, GHG emissions, sustainable materials, water and the application of technology to environmental challenges.Prior to this role, John was Dell's subject matter expert on data center energy efficiency and managed initiatives to help customers improve the productivity of their computer systems and facilities. Since graduating from MIT in 1991 with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, John has been in a number of roles including product definition, development and manufacturing, as well as corporate and social responsibility.



​​Ying Shi
Director, Green & Low-carbon Tech. R&D Department,China Telecom Research Institute
Ying Shi is a senior expert of China Telecom on Climate Change. Ying currently leads several projects on improvement of environment efficiency of telecom networks and infrastructures. She also works with the team trying to develop methodologies to assess impact of ICT services on environment. Ying and her team have made a lot of efforts to help China Telecom to develop a climate action roadmap, in order to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050. Ying is also heavily engaged in international standardization activities.​

SAGECOM BROADBAND SAS, France
Senior CSR Expert

 

Florian Tremblay received Eng. Degree, from the University of Sciences of Cergy-Pontoise, France, in 2005. He has 18+ years’ experience in Eco design of telecommunication products. Within Sagemcom Broadband SAS since 2005, M. Tremblay is in charge of Corporate Social Responsibility, including supply chain CSR audits, environmental compliance and Eco design of products. Its investigations on the environmental impact of various telecommunication products, such has broadband gateways and set top boxes, have participated to the development of Sagemcom Eco design strategy, which implemented low energy consumption solutions but also work on alternative materials, reduction of hazardous substances uses and end of life enhancement since years. He is also a teacher at the University of Paris-Saclay, on Quality, environment, health and safety as well as Corporate Social Responsibility.​

​Reyna Úbeda studied Industrial Engineering and she completed a Master on International Management from the University for Economics and Environment Nürtingen- Geislingen in 2014. She joined the ITU’s Standardization Bureau in 2015. She is the Advisor of ITU-T Study Group 5 on Environment, Climate Change and Circular Economy. Reyna speaks English, Spanish and German.
