Seongbok Baik is a research scientist in the Division of Network Infrastructure Innovation at KT Infra R&D Laboratory where he has been a research member since 1995. He has been serving on FG-ML5G as a Vice Chair since 2018.
Vanessa Bracamonte
PHD. KDDI Researcher, Inc. 
Vanessa Bracamonte is a researcher in the Information Security Group at KDDI Research, Inc. Her current research focuses on understanding people’s perception of machine learning-based applications and how to improve trustworthiness of these applications. Her interests include usable privacy and security, the issue of trust in relation to technology, and the social impact of technologies. She obtained her PhD in Informatics from SOKENDAI (The Graduate University for Advanced Studies, Japan) in 2016.

Wael William Diab
Senior Director at Huawei


Wael is a business and technology strategist with over 885 patents to his name in the fields of networking and ICT. He is currently a Senior Director at Huawei. Prior to Huawei, Wael held senior leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies, including Cisco and Broadcom.
Wael has BS and MS degrees in EE and BA in Economics from Stanford, and an MBA with honors from Wharton. He is a published author, having authored the book Ethernet in the First Mile: Access for Everyone. In 2011, Wael was recognized by the David Packard Medal of Achievement and Innovator Award for his leadership in Green Technology. Wael has been active in standardization and related activities for two decades. He chairs ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 42, the international standardization committee on artificial Intelligence (AI). Wael is Chairing the AI track at the 2019 Global Standards Collaboration (GSC-22). At the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), Wael is the Secretary of the Steering Committee and chairs the Liaison Working Group, Technology Working Group, Industrial AI Task Group and Global Event Series Task Group. He is co-author of the Industrial Analytics: The Engine Driving the IIoT Revolution whitepaper and the Industrial IoT Analytics Framework (IIAF). He is a recipient of the IIC Individual Contributor Award.Wael is a member of the IoT Solutions World Congress Program Committee and chairs its AI forum.
Mostafa Essa

Mostafa RAN AI and Data Analytics Vodafone Distinguished Engineer is a globally recognized authority in RAN strategy, design and optimization, applying AI/ML to new tools via using new innovative AI concept. He is also Co-Chairman in ITU FGML5G WG1 and Chairman ITU FG Network 2030 SG1, ETSI ENI ISG POC Rapporteur Chair and Board Member advisor for the American University. Distinguished Engineers community consists of 15 members (Professors and Highest standard Engineering experts worldwide), shaping the future of the technology worldwide by researches and technical consultancies. Mostafa holds a BSc in Electronics & Telecommunication and is undertaking MSc in Nano technologies & Artificial Intelligence. He holds 2 published patents, the 3rd in progress and has authored/contributed to numerous publications regarding AI, Intelligent Networks beside his Psychology self-study in ITU-ETSI-GSMA.
Feng Gao

Feng Gao is the vice research director of Network Security Research Center, Network Technology Research Institute, China Unicom. Her main work and research interests include network security, mobile telecommunication technology and telecommunication standardization etc. She is the ITU-T SG17 Q7 associate Rapporteur, and also the China Unicom delegate of 3GPP SA3 security group.


Andrew Gardner
Founder and  Leader, Center for Advanced Machine Learning (CAML), Symantec

Andrew Gardner, Ph.D., founded and leads the Center for Advanced Machine Learning (CAML) at Symantec.  His team conducts research and development in AI/ML for Security.His career spans over 20 years across enterprise, clinical and academic settings.  Past roles range from software architect to machine learning consultant to chief data scientist.  Dr. Gardner is an active research leader with more than 20 peer-reviewed papers and a dozen filed patents.  He frequently presents on AI/ML topics around the world.  He received his doctorate from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

 Jong Hyun Kim 
 Q4 Rapporteur, ITU-T Study Group 17, Security
          
He began participating in ITU-T SG 17 in 2006 and has actively contributed to the work of SG17 as a core member of security experts for more than 12 years. He was an associate Rapporteur of SG 17 Question 4/17 from 2009 to 2016. For the Study Period (2017 – 2020), he has served as a Rapporteur of Question 4/17. He has been a Project Editor or Co-editor for several ITU-T Recommendations in the area of Cybersecurity information exchange and Cybersecurity policy. He was a researcher with the Samsung Electronics in 1995-1997 and the Samsung SDS in 2000. He joined the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) in 2005. He is currently a project manager of government-funded R&D projects. His research interests include Cyber Security, Network Forensics, cloud security(SecaaS) and Network Security Function Virtualization.

ICT Security Standardization Director, Technical Planning Department, ZTE Corporation, China 
            
 Zhaoji Lin is the vice-chairman of ITU-T SG17 and co-chairman of Working Party of ITU-T SG17. He works as an ICT Security Standardization director in the technical planning and development unit at ZTE Corporation. He is also active in many international and regional standards organizations, including Open Mobile Alliance (OMA), Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and China Communications Standards Association (CCSA) in the areas of device management, digital rights management, identity management, IoT security and cloud computing security. He is the author, editor, and co-editor of many ITU-T recommendations, OMA specifications and CCSA standards.

Mikko Karikytö is the Head of Ericsson Network Security. With his team of the leading security experts in the Ericsson CTO office, their mission is to secure the Ericsson networks in our digital era. With Mikko’s background and  extensive experience from security operations like incident response and vulnerability management as well as security assurance he is a true CyberSec leader with an obsession on improving our digital society.
Antonio​ Kung
​CEO, Trialog, France

Antonio Kung is the CEO of Trialog which he co-founded Trialog in 1987. He has a background on cyberphysical systems, with an initial experience on the development of real-time operating systems. He focuses on the integration of non functional requirements such as dependability, interoperability, security or privacy. He has worked in a number of domains (ageing, smart cities, energy, or transport) and has coordinated a large number of European projects in these areas. He is involved in standardisation activities on security and privacy, currently the editor or co-editor of ISO/IEC 21823-3, 27030, 27550, 27570, 27556 (interoperability, security, privacy). He is also the rapporteur of a ISO/IEC JTC1/SC27 study period on the impact of AI to privacy. Antonio holds a master’s degree from Harvard University, United States and an engineering degree from Ecole Centrale Paris, France.

Dr. Yutaka Miyake has been engaged in the research on high-speed communication protocol and secure communication system at the KDD R&D Laboratories and KDDI R&D Laboratories Inc. He is currently a senior manager of Technology Strategy Department in KDDI Corporation, and is also a senior manager of Smart Security Laboratory in KDDI Research Inc. He began participating in ITU-T SG 17 in 2005 and has been actively contributing to its activities as information security experts. He is a vice chair of ITU-T SG17, and a chair of WP1/SG17 from March 2017.
Jae Hoon Nah
WP4 Co-chair & Rapporteur of ITU-T SG17

He began participating in ITU-T SG 17 in 2005. For the two Study Periods (2009 – 2012, 2013-2016), he served as a Rapporteur of Question 7/17 (Secure Application Services). He has been a Project Editor or Co-editor for 8 approved ITU-T Recommendations or agreed Supplements in the area of P2P (Peer-to-Peer) security, IPTV security, Web security, authentication protocol. From 1987, he has worked as a researcher for ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunication Research Institute), Republic of Korea. He is currently a special fellow researcher of Security Research Laboratory in ETRI. He had developed wired/mobile call processing software of a digital switching machine (TDX-10 ISDN, TDX-ATM) from 1987 to 2000. And He had developed security protocols and standards of secure P2P services, scalable code of IPTV security, Mashup Web security and enhanced attribute-aggregated authentication from 2001.

Joong-gunn park
Head of core network R&D, SK Telecom.

Joong-gunn park is a head of core network R&D at SK Telecom. His experiences at SK Telecom include circuit and packet equipment architectures, and service systems development over 20 years. His team’s recent focus has been new 5G architecture, cloudification and commercialization. He is also involved in a number of projects to create and foster new innovative services and enhance its features leveraging  AI technology.​

​​Neil Sahota
IBM Master Inventor and World Wide Business Development Leader, IBM Watson Group ​

Neil Sahota (萨冠军) is an IBM Master Inventor and World Wide Business Development Leader in the IBM Watson Group. With 15+ years of business experience, he works with clients and business partners to create next generation products/solutions powered by Watson. Prior to this role, he was a Thought Leader Consultant and Practice Leader in IBM Global Business Services where he was responsible for the sales and delivery of complex consulting engagements spanning business strategy, new product development, revenue optimization, process improvement, and business and system integration. His work experience spans multiple industries including healthcare, life sciences, retail, travel and transportation, energy and utilities, automotive, telecommunications, media/communication, and government. Moreover, Neil is one of the few IBMers selected for IBM's Corporate Service Corps leadership program that pairs leaders with NGOs to perform community driven economic development projects. For his assignment, Neil lived and worked in Ningbo, China where he partnered with Chinese corporate CEOs to create a leadership development program.
He also actively volunteers with nonprofits for event management, fund raising, grant reviews, and site visits. Neil is an active member of the UCI Alumni Association and serves on the Board of Directors for the Orange County Marathon, supporting their work with the OC Kids program in fighting childhood obesity.​

Reinhard Scholl is Deputy to the Director of the ITU Telecommunication Standardization Bureau (also known as the ITU-T Secretariat). Previously he has been with Siemens in Munich, Germany and with the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). He received a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Illinois, USA. He also served on the ICANN Board.
Arnaud Taddei
Director, Standards and Architectures, Digital Service Providers, Symantec

M. Arnaud Taddei is Director, Standards and Architectures, Digital Service Providers in the Office of the CTO, reporting directly to M. Hugh Thompson, CTO of Symantec Corporation. M. Taddei is an industry specialist covering the Digital Service Providers with whom he works extensively for the past 20+ years. As such he is as well chairman for the Working Party 3 – Application Security in the Study Group 17 – Security at the International Telecom Union (ITU) and participates to other Standard Defining Organizations (SDOs) like IETF, IEEE, ETSI, etc. Graduated as Telecom Engineer from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Télécommunication de Bretagne, France, M. Taddei owns as well a French research Diploma (called DEA) with INRIA, which lead him to the Institute of Control Sciences, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow in 1992. Both French and Swiss citizen, he was drafted in the French Army with the special status of ‘Troops Scientist' in the Flight Simulator Section of the French DGA. He started his career in 1993 as solution architect at CERN IT Division in Geneva. Having the chance to work on the first ever Web Server as Sir Tim Berners Lee invented it at CERN, he lead several key IT projects across the High Energy Physics global community. In 1994, when Messaging became a critical issue, he designed a unique architecture at that time to scale what was the largest Internet based messaging platform outside of the United States. Promoted Section Leader in the IT division he lead a team responsible for Communication, Authentication and Authorization and had the chance to work with key mentors such as Brian Carpenter, at that time, chair of IETF. In 2000, he joined Sun Microsystems as Solution Architect for EMEA professional services team, then world wide, and finally became one of the 100 elected global principle architects. He developed specific architecture methods, consultancy approach and executive advisory with his partners while designing joined solutions for their markets, conforming to regulations and in particular legal interception. Finally he joined Symantec in April 2007, as EMEA Chief Architect for Service Providers and covering the entire Symantec portfolio including Norton. M. Taddei moved to the corporate level as Director to influence the Product Teams. After 10 years in the company he was offered to join the Office of the CTO, opening a new chapter in regards to Standardization and disruptive Architectures and Design.

Takeshi Takahashi

​Takeshi Takahashi received the Ph.D. degree in telecommunication from Waseda University in 2005. He was with the Tampere University of Technology as a Researcher from 2002 to 2004, and Roland Berger Ltd., as a Business Consultant, from 2005 to 2009. Since 2009, he has been with the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology, where he is currently a Research Manager. His primary focus is on cybersecurity, network protocols, and machine mining. Since 2017, he is leading a project on machine-learning-based cybersecurity. He is also active in standardization activities and serves as the IETF MILE Working Group chair and ITU-T Q.6/17 Associate Rapporteur. He received several awards including Funai Information Technology Incentive Award and ITU Association Japan Incentive Award. He is a CISSP and PMP.

Tian Tian 
APT Project Manager, ZTE

Tian graduated from TU Dortmund in Germany majoring in Electronic Information Engineering, and worked at Infineon Technologies AG in Germany as a wireless sensor network R&D engineer before joining ZTE Corporation in 2009. She is a senior system architect and product expert with more than 10 years of experience in tel-communication and security area, and has worked on 3GPP SA3 and IETF standards for several years. She has been involved in pre-research in various fields, such as IMS security, M2M security, WLAN, SDN/NFV, and owns more than 10 granted patents in Europe and the US. She is now the APT project manager at ZTE and has more than 3 years of experience in anti-APT solution and product development, which includes advanced threat cloud analysis platform, Email/Web advanced treat prevention system and cyber behavior analysis system.
Yanhui Wang
Manager, 360 Fraud Detection Department

​She is the manager of 360 fraud detection department.She specializes in big data analysis and online fraud detection in mobile industries. She studied Data Mining and Data Warehouse in Computer Science and Technology from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. She has been working on big data analysis, data mining, AI algorithms for 12 years and has successfully built the big data team of 360.
 Heung Youl Youm

He is Chairman of ITU-T SG17 (Security). He is working as a professor for the Department of Information Security Engineering of the Soonchunhyang University, Korea from September 1990. He is currently the Director of SCH Cybersecurity Research Centre from Dec. 2013. He began participating in ITU-T SG 17 in 2003 and has actively contributed to the work of SG17 as a core member of security experts. He was an associate Rapporteur of SG 17 Question 10/17 from 2003 to 2004. For the Study Period (2005 – 2008), he served as a Rapporteur of Question 9/17. He was a Vice Chairman of ITU-T Study Group 17 from 2009 to 2016. He was a Chairman of Working Party 2 (Application Security) of SG17 for the Study Period (2009–2012) and was a Chairman of Working Party 3 (Identity management and cloud computing security) of SG17 for the Study Period (2013–2016). He has been a Project Editor or Co-editor for many approved ITU-T Recommendations or agreed Supplements in the area of IPTV security, home network security, authentication protocol, USN security, mobile security, and cybersecurity. He was a president of KIISC (Korea Institute on information security and cryptology) in 2011 and is an emeritus president of KIISC. He had worked for ETRI as a senior research engineer from 1982 to 1990. He had been involved in developing high speed transmission system. He had been involved in many (advisory or self-performance evaluation) committees for the Korea Communications Commission (KCC) from 2008 to 2016, the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning (MSIP) from 2013 to 2017, the Ministry of Industry and Energy (MoTIE) from 2015 to 2017. He has been involved in self-performance evaluation) committees for the Ministry of Science and ICT since 2017. He is a Chairman for the ISMS/PIMS certification committee in Korea since 2007 and had been the chairman for the committee on information security in the PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games from January 2015 to May 2018. He received a Bachelor degree in 1981, a Master degree in 1983, and a Ph.D. degree in 1990, all in Electronics Engineering from Hanyang University, Korea.
