Darryl Kelly
Director, Global Sales Signalling Security, Adaptive Mobile Security

​Darryl is an experienced professional with over​ 28 years’ experience in the telecoms industry who has worked for both MNO’s and vendors. Darryl has focused on telecoms security and the associated vulnerabilities and risks within Telco since 2010. Other assignments include global business development security positions with Praesidium Services, S21sec and Evolved Intelligence prior to joining AdaptiveMobile Security in 2019.​
​​Assaf Klinger
Head of R&D, Vaulto

Assaf Klinger is an accomplished cyber security entrepreneur, in the last 3 years, Assaf is Vaulto’s R&D lead. A native of Israel, he over has 20 years' experience as a full stack developer and researcher with specialty in cyber-telcom vulnerability research.
Assaf is an ISNU veteran of 13 years (Maj.) and has led the development of many complex systems, for this Assaf was decorated at 2011 with the Israel Defense award, the highest award a non-combatant in Israel, given for exceptional technological achievements and major contribution to the security if Israel.  Assaf has a BSc. in electrical engineering from Tel-Aviv university and an MBA from the Technion, in the past 3 years Assaf and his team at Vaulto created the first cyber-telecom security startup Aiming to protect the end-users from attacks while providing a seamless solution that doesn’t disrupt the user experience.  Assaf is a family man, married with twins, in his spare time he enjoys tinkering with electronics and music.
Richard Hill

Richard is currently an independent consultant.  Prior to that, he was Counsellor for Study Groups 2 and 3 at the International Telecommunications Union, that is technical secretary for the ITU groups dealing with operational aspects of service provision, networks and performance, including numbering issues (for example, assignment of international country codes) and charging and accounting matters. Prior to joining ITU, Richard was Department Head, IT Infrastructure Delivery and Support, at Orange Communications (a GSM operator). He previously was the IT Manager at the University of Geneva; held various IT and telecommunications positions in Hewlett-Packard Europe; worked as a Research Statistician for A.C. Nielsen; as a systems designer and manager for software for econometric modelling and the management of financial portfolios at M.I.T and spinoffs. Richard holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from Harvard University and a B.S. in Mathematics from M.I.T.  Prior to his studies in the U.S.A., he obtained the Maturita' from the Liceo Scientifico A. Righi in Rome, Italy.
Richard Kerkdijk
Senior Security Consultant, TNO

Richard Kerkdijk MSc. is a Senior Security Consultant at TNO. He obtained his master’s degree in applied physics in 1997 and has been an active player in cyber security ever since. His present role involves strategic advisory work, technical and non-technical security evaluations and coordination of cyber security research and innovation projects. Richard mostly conducts assignments for (CISOs of) telecoms providers and financial institutions, but he has also done commissions for the Dutch National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), the Dutch Cyber Security Council and the Dutch MoD. In addition he acts as vice-chair of the ETIS Information Security WG, an industry body that facilitates collaboration among the CISOs of European telecoms providers.

David Maxwell

David Maxwell works for the GSMA, the global trade association representing the interests of mobile operators. David facilitates the work of the Roaming and Interworking Fraud and Security (RIFS) subgroup. RIFS brings together mobile industry fraud and security management specialists to pro​duce recommendations on how mobile operators can mitigate interconnect signalling security risks.​​

Vincent is a Senior Product Manager for AdaptiveMobile Security, looking after Signalling Cyber Security products. He is at the forefront of the ever-changing cyber attacks upon the mobile network ecosystem, to protect national critical infrastructure, assets and integrity within financial, medical, utility and emerging markets that depend on it. He is an active contributor to GSMA Fraud and Security industry events and co-author of guideline publications for the SS7 and Diameter interconnect security.  He has over 25 years telecoms experience across mobile and landline phone switching, messaging, CEM and security. He holds an MSC in Electronic Engineering with Telecommunications from the HOWEST, Belgium and front-line management from the Irish Management Institute.

​Proximus is one of the pioneering operators which is concerned about mobile attacks, including the detection and remediation of SS7 attacks.   We implemented security controls on the signalling network to improve the defence of our network and to provide a safe service to our customers.   The Proximus Cyber Security Incident Response Team provides digital forensics, root cause analysis and investigations related to mobile attacks, including SS7.    While being a member of Proximus CSIRT since June 2019, I am actively participating in the mobile fraud projects as well as in monitoring, detection, and forensics of signalling messages crossing the Proximus network border, in order to identify potential threats and keep security settings complied with security standards.    My role within the investigation is the identification of the attacker’s modus operandi and pattern recognition, including attribution where possible.    My goal is to analyse current attacks, find the intentions behind those attacks and the initiators of them, used or abused infrastructures, techniques, tools and other capabilities, to suggest countermeasures and facilitate the prevention of similar attacks in the future.

 Xiaojie Zhu, Director of Standard, Department of Mobile Communication Research of Intelligent Networks and Devices Research Institute of China Telecom. She is working as a Vice-Chairman for ITU-T Study Group 11 and Chairman of Working Party 1/SG11. Ms. Xiaojie ZHU is focusing on developing the technical strategies and standardization for traditional and emerging telecommunication technologies including SS7, Intelligent Networks, VoLTE/ViLTE, SDN/NFV and Voice over 5G etc
