Ivan Goychev

Mr. Ivan Goychev is Deputy Mayor for Digitization and Information Systems at Sofia Municipality. With more than 20 years of experience in software development and technology leadership, he brings extensive expertise from the private sector, including senior roles at Amazon Web Services (AWS) and as Chief Technology Officer at CoBuilder.

In his current role, he leads Sofia’s digital transformation agenda, focusing on the modernization of municipal information systems, data governance, cybersecurity, and the development of integrated digital public services. Under his direction, the Municipality is advancing smart city initiatives, expanding e-governance solutions, and strengthening digital infrastructure to improve service delivery, transparency, and operational efficiency.

Mr. Goychev actively promotes innovation, digital skills, and collaboration between the public and private sectors to support sustainable urban development. His approach combines technological excellence with a strong commitment to inclusiveness and citizen-centric services, contributing to Sofia’s ambition to become a resilient, data-driven, and future-ready European capital.
