Born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico, completed there a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering. After a few years working in the private sector, moved to Finland in 2011, where he completed a master’s degree in electrical engineering, and a doctoral degree in solar economy from LUT University. Currently holding a postdoctoral research position at Åbo Akademi University in Turku, Finland. His current research interest are process and materials decarbonization, technoeconomic analysis and water conservation.
