David is the head of the Smart Tourist Destination strategy of the Region of Valencia.
David is PhD in Tourism Management and Planning (University of Alicante), he specializes in planning and management of tourist destinations, in its technological field. He currently works at the Valencian Institute of Tourism Technologies (Invat·tur) of Turisme Comunitat Valenciana as project coordinator and head of the Smart Tourist Destination Network of the Region of Valencia. He also manages the smart tourism strategy for the region since 2014. He is also an associate professor in the department of regional geographic analysis at the University of Alicante and be part of technical and scientifics commitees about innovation and digitalization in tourism, as UNE-CTN 178/SC 5 “Smart destinations”.
