Mónica Zurita Vivero

Mónica Zurita Vivero is an Ecuadorian engineer and public servant. She currently serves as the Digital Government Director of the city of Quito. There, she led the city validation under ITU Y.4903 standard, as well as the implementation of digital and data-driven initiatives. Moreover, she worked for the Ecuadorian Telecommunications Ministry for 10 years.

With a strong educational background, Mónica holds a Major in Communications and Electronics from the Instituto Politecnico Nacional (Mexico). She earned a Master’s degree in ICT Convergence from Soongsil University  (South Korea) and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Universidad de Chile (Chile).

Mónica’s expertise lies in leveraging technology to improve public services and governance. Her work has focused on enhancing the efficiency and transparency of government operations, ultimately benefiting the citizens of Quito
