Summary: This Corrigendum removes the constraint on use of zero_byte syntax element as it is specified in the latest version of ITU-T Rec. H.264 | ISO/IEC 14496-10. This correction is needed to avoid conflict between ITU-T Rec. H.222.0 | ISO/IEC 13818-1:2007 and ITU-T Rec. H.264 | ISO/IEC 14496-10. This Corrigendum also corrects several errors in use of stream_id_extension mechanism both in the PES header byte-alignment and for applications that use program streams (such as DVD). This Corrigendum adds a backward compatible mechanism to signal the stream_id_extension in System Header, Program Stream Directory and Program Stream Map. Compatibility is maintained with the earlier versions of MPEG-2 systems as well as deployed applications (such as HD-DVD).
