This supplement investigates the transport of fgOTN service flows over PtMP networks. The investigation begins with studying typical use cases and scenarios to gather detailed service requirements. This supplement reviews existing recommendations to identify any gaps in the current support for fgOTN service flows. In response to these identified gaps, the supplement explores potential solution architectures. These architectures are designed to support the mapping and multiplexing of fine grain flexible optical data unit (fgODUflex) signals. The goal is to ensure guaranteed performance to meet the service requirements on bandwidth, latency, jitter, and physical layer isolation.
