Summary: This Recommendation specifies methods for measuring passive intermodulation level of array antenna systems in mobile communication systems, including test equipment and test procedures. This Recommendation covers the following frequency ranges, but not limited to the following ranges: LTE 700, APT 700, LTE 800, Cellular 850, E-GSM 900, DCS 1800, PCS 1900, AWS 1700/2100, UMTS 2100 and LTE 2600 operating bands.
Comment: Scope:This K.pim Recommendation will analysis the test approaches of passive intermodulation (PIM) distortions for array antenna systems, such as MIMO antenna systems in 4G and large scale array antenna system in 5G. The test approaches proposed will help to reduce the interference of PIM in antenna systems, which will eventually improve the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and the performance of the communication systems.
