Summary: Power transmission corridors span open, linear routes exposed to diverse operational and environmental risks. To manage these risks, utilities increasingly rely on multimodal visual data from heterogeneous source platforms, and such multi-source monitoring has been deployed at scale across multiple countries and regions. However, existing implementations are built on proprietary, vendor-specific approaches to data reporting, observation correlation and event management. Without a common standard, utilities deploying multi-vendor monitoring solutions cannot achieve interoperability among equipment and software from different suppliers, nor can the same risk observed by different sources be consolidated into a single actionable event. A common service framework based on an international standard is therefore needed so that monitoring products from different vendors can conform to consistent requirements regardless of the country or region in which they are deployed. Recommendation ITU-T F.IMPTC specifies requirements and a framework for intelligent monitoring services of power transmission corridors based on multimodal visual data, covering data access and reporting, observation correlation, inconsistent-information handling, monitoring-event generation, evidence-package management, and verification feedback and event status update, organized as a layered framework with corridor-oriented monitoring-event service functions.
