Summary: Infrared thermography has been increasingly applied to the monitoring and inspection of the electrical control equipment in industrial environments, providing a non-contact means to observe the thermal conditions related to equipment operation. With the integration of intelligent analytics, infrared thermography-based systems are being used to support fault diagnosis and risk-oriented operation and maintenance. This Recommendation specifies the requirements and framework of the infrared thermography-based fault diagnosis systems for electrical control equipment. It provides a unified reference for the design, deployment, and application of such systems, supporting interoperable, scalable, and intelligent operation and maintenance in industrial scenarios.
