Summary:
|
As described in [ITU-T Y.3090], DTN is a virtual representation of a physical network. By introducing DTN in IMT-2020 and beyond, creating a virtual representation of the physical networks, the network configurations can be simulated and verified before applied to the physical networks which facilitates the operations and maintenance of IMT-2020 and beyond.
On the other hand, DTN as use cases of digital twin technology impose stringent QoS requirements on network performance to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable interaction between the physical and virtual representations. Different DTN applications, different steps in constructing a DTN and different levels of DNT have various QoS requirements on network performance. It’s necessary to study the QoS assurance requirements of DTN in IMT-2020 and beyond.
