Summary:
|
This Recommendation defines an intelligent anomaly detection system (IADS) for Internet of things (IoT), intended to detect abnormal behaviours in IoT environments. The Recommendation specifies an architectural framework, functional entities and interoperability aspects supporting anomaly detection and response mechanisms.
The IADS combines rule-based detection mechanisms with machine learning (ML)-based techniques to support the identification of both known and emerging anomalies in IoT networks. The framework introduces the anomaly detection protocol data unit (AD-PDU) to enable standardized communication between IADS functional entities.
This Recommendation also provides guidance for deploying anomaly detection capabilities across heterogeneous IoT environments, while maintaining interoperability across devices, gateways and analytical modules. The objective is to support reliable and scalable anomaly detection capabilities in IoT systems.
