Summary: The characteristics of ICT-enabled flying cars (FC) are low altitude and low speed. The goal of FCs is to provide the public with personal transportation services, and personal transportation services may be arranged on demand, or as part of multimodal transportation links within major urban areas. ICT-enabled FC services use ICT technology to achieve flight control and management, based on advanced communication networks (such as IMT-2020, IMT-2030, and low earth orbit communication satellites, GNSS, etc.) and IT technologies (such as cloud computing, big data, AI, etc.) to provide precise positioning and navigation, flight route planning, flight track control and change selection for FCs, in order to achieve manned and / or unmanned driving. With the advancement of ICT technology and the number of FCs increase, there will be a gradual transition from assisted driving to fully automated driving. This document provides the overview of ICT-enabled flying car service platform.
