Summary:
|
A digital twin is the digital representation of an observable object with data connection that enables convergence between the physical state and digital state at an appropriate rate of synchronization. The digital twin has been applied in various industry domains including manufacturing, transportation, energy, firefighting, medical and safety. Digital twin federation is the act of sharing application context among two or more digital twins to solve the problems related to multiple domains.
The signalling between the peers, that are the digital twins, the registry and the communication adaptor, for the digital twin federation is defined according to the requirements that can be used to design a signaling protocol among peers.
This draft Recommendation defines the signalling requirements for digital twin federation over managed peer-to-peer communications and signaling requirements.
