Summary: This supplement explains several use cases of microservices architecture for audiovisual media in the converged media cloud. In order to improve the ease of use of the ITU-T J.1305 and J.1306 recommendations , various applications of media microservice architectures (MMAs) in different domains have been explained by way of use cases of audiovisual media systems based on MMA, covering TV station production and broadcasting, transmission, online video platform content production and distribution, integrated media system and video live broadcast platform, application artifacts and other systems placed in different locations or even in different countries. After the system is built through MMA, the system has the characteristics of loose coupling, independence, agility, troubleshooting for errors and the system can be independently deployed for different business scenarios, quickly respond to flexible business needs, and improve the efficiency of resource utilization, iterative development, better customer experiences and the speed of new business launch.
