Summary: This document contains the ICT sector's responses to the circular economy in three focused areas, namely maintenance/reparability; reuse/refurbishment; and recyclability/recoverability. Solid waste generated by the ICT sector is increasing at an alarming rate. The circular economy model of development provides a blueprint for ICT manufacturers to shift towards a more sustainable and efficient mode of operations. The Recommendation places particular emphasis on maintenance, reuse, and recyclability as they are the key components in addressing the need for circularity in ICT goods and equipment.
