Summary: With the increase of new technologies of Energy Storage available there is a need for a global overview of Energy Storage system for use in stationary ICT installation in network, datacentre and CPE, and simple and not too long evaluation and characterization methods for this specific purpose. This document introduce an open series of documents for different families of technologies (batteries systems, supercapacitors systems, …) that will be enriched progressively when new technologies appears with a possible significant impact. Identified parts are: - Part 1: Overview of energy storage systems - Part 2: Innovative battery technology - Part 3: Supercapacitor technology
Comment: Overview of evolution of Energy Storage for stationary use for ICT/Telecom equipment. Global results of investigations from lab and field tests of solutions for site, network, data centre, and CPE resilience in smart sustainable city. Mobile and portable batteries are out of the scope. This part 1 introduces next subparts.
