使用对生结构代数码激励线性预测(CS-ACELP)的8 kbit/s音频的编码
ITU-T G.729建议书描述了采用共扼结构—代数码激励线性预测(CS-ACELP)的语音信号编码。

在ITU-T G.729建议书本次修订版中引入的附录IV介绍了将ITU-T G.720.1附件A作为VAD,用于附件B DTX/CNG的情况。它在节省带宽和音频质量两者的取舍方面提供了更好的灵活性。节省带宽模式在静音压缩方面提供了最优的性能,同时保持了可与附录II和III相比的主观质量水平。此外,附录IV为音乐等各种背景噪声类型提供了更好的强健性。附录IV针对的是(企业网和大众市场的)新IP多媒体业务以及网络电话和视频会议;这些是其进行优化所针对的一些最重要业务。目标业务包括网络电话或其他VoIP手持机、家用网关、IPBX和媒体网关等。
本建议书也修正了ITU T G.729建议书实施指南(2009年11月)中发现的问题,即发现公式40(3.7.1节)与C-代码之间存在不一致。
