Conmutación lineal de protección para las redes MPLS de transporte

En la presente Recomendación se presentan los requisitos y mecanismos para la conmutación de protección de caminos extremo a extremo y conexiones de subred (SNC, subnetwork connection) en redes MPLS de transporte (T-MPLS, transport multiprotocol label switching). En ella se describen los tipos de arquitectura de protección de caminos y de protección de las SNC, los tipos de conmutación uni y bidireccionales y los tipos de operación reversibles y no reversibles. En la Recomendación se define el protocolo de conmutación de protección automática (APS, automatic protection switching) utilizado para coordinar los dos extremos del dominio protegido.
