TSB Services for Participants in ITU-T Work
The
Telecommunication Standardization Bureau (TSB) acts as secretariat to the ITU-T Sector and provides a number of services to the participants in the work of ITU-T.
- Study group support
The Studies, Strategy and Cooperation Department (SSCD) of TSB is responsible for facilitating, managing and supporting the work of the ITU-T study groups.
The TSB Counsellors/Engineers act as technical secretary to their study group, assist the study group Chairman and coordinate the work of their study group meetings.The meeting document production is ensured by TSB as well as the posting of these documents on the ITU-T website.
- Approval of Recommendations
TSB organizes and coordinates the Traditional Approval Process (TAP) and the Alternative Approval Process (AAP) of ITU-T Recommendations.
- TSB Documents Service and membership address database
TSB dispatches documents in paper form, upon request, to its membership and maintains a database of membership contacts and addresses. TSB Circular 1 contains detailed information on the subject as well as a form for updating contact and addresses and a form for choosing to receive ITU-T documents in paper form. These forms are also available online.
- TSB Membership Relations
TSB provides information on membership related issues (applications, changes in status, entitlements, etc.), replies to queries and updates membership data.
- Electronic Document Handling (EDH) Services
TSB provides Electronic Document Handling (EDH) services to facilitate the exchange of information and documents among participants in the work of ITU-T.
- Participation to ITU-T meetings
ITU-T Study Group and Working Party meetings are convened by the TSB via Collective-letters issuing from the relevant study group or other group. Collective-letters contain the registration form for each meeting. Participants may also use the generic online registration form.
Rapporteur meetings are convened and organized by the Rapporteurs and not by the TSB. The list of these meetings, in accordance with information provided by the Rapporteurs, is available under each study group.
Participants to ITU-T meetings can benefit from preferential rates at hotels and residences in the Geneva area.
