تعرّف التوصية ITU-T G.709/Y.1331 متطلبات إشارات السطح البيني لشبكة النقل البصرية (OTN) في شبكة النقل البصرية من حيث: - تراتب الشبكة OTN - وظائف الموارد الإضافية لدعم الشبكات البصرية متعددة أطوال الموجات - هياكل الإطار - معدلات البتات - أنساق خارطة ارتباطات إشارات العميل. أما الطبعة 6.4 (التصويب 2) من هذه التوصية فتصحح المعادلة Cn(t) الواردة في الفقرتين 2.3.4.19 و2.3.4.20 وقيم أرقام العمودين 3807 و3808 في الشكلين 1-20 و2-20 في قيم أرقام العمودين 3808 و3809.
