On 1 April, ITU signed an agreement with United States-based INTEL corporation to build skills on telecommunication/ICT technology. "By signing this document, we agree to develop and implement activities, including training course and materials, to enhance people's ICT skills," said Mr. Sanou. "The creation and enhancement of ICT related skills is of paramount importance: human capacity building is one of the top priorities of ITU," he said. The agreement was signed at the World Telecommunication Development Conference, which is in session in Dubai until 10 April.
