GIRLS IN ICT DAY

We celebrated the girls in ict day on the 22 nd of april 2016 here in zambia. The venue for the event was munali secondary school,lusaka zambia.

GIRLS OF DIFFERENT ABILITIES (DISSABILITIES ) IN ICTS. This is a project that is focusing on ICTS for development. Its a youth led project that empowers girls with dissabilities which society labels dissabled which increases their own marginalisation. We  will train and encourange the girls with dissabilities take up interest in ICT careers such as computer hardware,computer networking and many other ICT careers.

Why we say different "abilities" we believe their inability to to talk,walk,hear or see  does not make them unable to do many things like ICTS. By so doing we shall help them become productive members of society which will eventually lead to national development. Partnering with key stake holder in ICTS will help us archieve these project.

The girls in ICT day event was succefull with the honourable minister of gender,Proffessor Nkandu Luo was our guest speaker.

The girls where motivated by wency who is  deaf. Despite his inability to speak Wency speaks volumes and touches lives. He inspired so many girls.
