Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy in Senegal organized a range of activities to celebrate International Girls in ICT Day 2014. Some of these activities were:

• Training sessions in web development, network administration and management of ICT projects
• Information sessions on social networks and online protection of girls
• Girls in ICT day events in 4 universities in Saint Louis, Diourbel, Thies and Ziguinchor
• Open days at telecom operators and enterprises in the ICT sector in partnership with ADIE, CISCO, DTAI, and British Council
• Stories of women leaders in the ICT sector
• Panel discussions
• Television and radio discussions for the general public
• Competition for young girls to develop ICT projects
• Install Girls in ICT clubs in schools
• Celebrate and reward Girls in ICT day in Senegal
