Abstract :

Each year, ITU receives requests from organizations of an international character seeking exemption from membership fees and other financial contributions to the Union based on reciprocity. These new requests are reviewed by the secretariat according to criteria established by Council.
The secretariat is also reviewing the full list of exempted entities to assess whether they fully meet the criteria revised by Council in 2017. A full report is being prepared for the consideration of the next meeting of Council in September 2022.
