This Recommendation describes a single‑mode weakly-coupled multi-core optical fibre (WC-MCF) and cable which has a standard 125 mm cladding diameter and has optical backward compatibility to existing G.652/G.657 single-mode fibre. This Recommendation considers both two and four-core structure.
