This Recommendation specifies requirements and framework for benchmarking Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) in telecommunication networks. It is aligned to the general assessment criteria for foundation models in [ITU-T F.748.77], builds on the potential requirements and methodology in [b-ITU-T TR.GenAI-Telecom], and specifies the telecommunication network-specific requirements, evaluation metrics, evaluation techniques and telecommunication network functionalities needed to benchmark GenAI in telecommunication networks.
