Summary:
|
To provide ubiquitous computing services, a key prerequisite is to interconnect distributed computing resources, especially large-scale computing power centers. One of the major characteristics and functions of a computing power network (CPN) is to interconnect distributed computing power centers so as to provide seamless services to resource-demanding applications. The interconnection of computing power centers involves ubiquitous computing power resources and introduces management and orchestration capabilities to achieve optimal resource allocation. However, several security issues related to the interconnection of computing power centers need to be addressed, such as high-throughput secure data transmission, secure computing resource management and orchestration, and communication protocol security.
Recently, numerous studies and work items have been initiated in several standards development organizations, such as ITU-T, IETF and 3GPP. However, there is still a lack of comprehensive high-level analysis of the security aspects of the interconnection of computing power centers, including general security objectives, security risks and security guidelines.
This draft Technical Report focuses on the security aspects of the interconnection of computing power centers and analyses the general security objectives and security risks.
