Characterized by high resolution, wide field of view and strong user relevance, cloud virtual reality services impose stringent requirements for the cloud, network and terminal, especially when enhanced optimized processing functions are required to improve objective and subjective cloud virtual reality service qualities.
Recommendation ITU‑T H.431.1 specifies the functional architecture for cloud virtual reality systems, including the “optimized processing” function module in the control layer. This Recommendation extends and details the function module by specifying the functional requirements for enhanced optimized processing of cloud virtual reality systems. It specifies functional requirements and an intelligent enhancement approach that covers quality improvement functions at the cloud, network and terminal sides, as well as their collaboration requirements. It also provides service capabilities that realize the enhanced “optimized processing” function module, thereby enabling more efficient and higher‑quality cloud virtual reality services.
