Summary: With the emergence of 5G and the subsequent prospect of network slicing enabled by the virtualization of the network, there is immense scope for the network/telecom service providers to exploit unique monetization opportunities through differentiated SLAs for its users. In this scenario, this technical report strives to enable a better understanding through global experiences and case studies by collaborating with Member States and industry, and describes available regulatory options.
Comment: Purpose and scope: To describe and provide an overview of network slicing including on the various aspects of the existing regulatory architecture governing network service providers. This may include competition, quality of service, and regulatory considerations.
