This Recommendation identifies the methodology to deliver a security service based on distributed ledger technology (DLT), whose features include immutability, data sharing, decentralization and tamper-resistance. Numerous security services can benefit from the deployment of DLT. The decentralized nodes of DLT could be used to solve the single point of failure problem, the bottleneck performance problem, and tampering. This Recommendation specifies the methods to provide security services based on DLT, and provides examples to implement these security services based on DLT.
