En la Recomendación UIT-T X.1250 se describen las capacidades básicas para lograr la gestión de identidades (IdM) y su compatibilidad a escala mundial (es decir, para mejorar el intercambio y la confianza en los identificadores que utilizan las entidades en las redes y servicios de telecomunicaciones/IT). La necesidad de la IdM, y las definiciones en este marco, dependen en gran medida del contexto y suelen estar sujetas a políticas y prácticas muy divergentes de los distintos países. Las capacidades comprenden la protección y el control de la información de identificación personal (IIP). |
