Optical interfaces for single-channel STM-64, STM-256 and other SDH systems with optical amplifiers

This Recommendation provides parameters and values for optical interfaces of single-channel long-haul STM-4, STM-16 and STM-64 systems utilizing optical preamplifiers and/or optical booster amplifiers. Furthermore, it provides optical interface parameters for single-channel STM-64 intra-office and short-haul systems without optical amplification. The currently foreseen application codes for STM-256 systems are defined, but parameter values for these codes are for further study.
