P2C at the AI for Good Global Summit 2024

30-31 May 2024
CICG, Geneva, Switzerland

Pledging AI based solutions to meaningfully connect the world

Today, 2.6 Billion people are offline. They are excluded from the life-changing opportunities that digital connectivity brings. Increasing affordable access to the Internet is a key challenge, but equally important are barriers that hinder adoption, such as the absence of localized content, applications and services, issues related to disabilities and digital skills. Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based solutions offer new possibilities to address these challenges not for the sake of connectivity alone, but to fast-track the meaningful participation of one-third of humanity into the global digital society.

On 30-31 May 2024, at the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva, history will be made when the power of Artificial Intelligence for social good is put into action through concrete pledges facilitated by ITU’s Partner2Connect Digital Coalition. Be part of this moment and join us by submitting your pledge!

What to pledge?

In collaboration with the AI for Good Global Summit, the P2C platform is open for the submission of pledges by innovative entities across all sectors who can commit quantifiableconcretereal projectsprogramspolicies or financial contributions using:

About P2C

Digital connectivity and Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) have an enormous potential to accelerate human progress. However, 2.6 billion people remain offline and excluded from the transformative power of the Internet. ITU‘s Partner2Connect Digital Coalition (P2C) seeks to accelerate connectivity through an action-oriented approach that is critical to the development agendas for LDCs, LLDCs, and SIDS. To date, more than 800 pledges valued at over USD 46 Billion have been submitted through the P2C platform by over 420 entities. About 30% of those pledges are to be specifically implemented in LDCs, LLDCs and SIDS.

About AI for Good

The goal of AI for Good is to identify practical applications of AI to accelerate progress towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals and connect AI innovators with public and private-sector decision-makers to help scale up AI solutions globally. The landmark AI for Good Global Summit 2017 marked the beginning of a global dialogue on the potential of AI to act as a force for good. The action-oriented 2018, 2019, and 2023 summits gave rise to numerous AI for Good projects including several ITU “pre-standardization” initiatives investigating the standardization requirements for high-potential AI use cases.

The upcoming AI for Good Global Summit 2024 (30-31 May, Geneva) combines 2,500+ participants and online participation from the over 25,000 members of the AI-powered community platform, the AI for Good Neural Network, making it the world’s largest and most inclusive AI solutions and matchmaking event.
