The high-level roundtable was the flagship event on digital transformation taking place on the occasion of the Science, Technology, and AI Thematic Day at COP30. This session marked a milestone in global efforts to harness digital technology for sustainability – one year after the COP29 Declaration on Green Digital Action emphasized the need for accelerated global action to leverage digital technologies for climate resilience.

By convening global leaders, policymakers, and innovators, this high-level session was a pivotal opportunity to unify efforts, mobilize resources, and spark innovation for a sustainable digital transformation. The session aimed to ignite commitments, plans, and strategies into concrete action paths that align with the spirit and priorities of the COP30 Presidency. It seeked to inspire ambitious and practical outcomes, grounded in collaboration, inclusivity, and alignment with global sustainability goals, while emphasizing the urgency of tangible progress.

This session marked a dynamic kick-off for the third edition of the Green Digital Action track, bringing together a series of sessions and workshops over the next three days under a unified agenda on digitalization at COP. It provided a preview of key announcements aimed at accelerating digital climate action, to be explored in greater depth during the upcoming technical sessions.
