Embodied AI

EAI-dog.jpgThis category focuses on standardizing "Embodied AI" systems that connect AI foundation model capabilities to physical entity devices (like robots). It covers everything from the overall perception and execution framework of the system to data collection requirements in real physical environments and ultimate evaluation benchmark systems.

5.1 EAI Framework & Requirements

Establishes the basic concepts and unified general technical framework of Embodied AI systems, clarifying their support requirements in perceiving the real world, embodied decision-making, and physical execution.

ITU-T F.748.66: Requirements and framework for embodied artificial intelligence systems (2025)
Defines the unified system framework of Embodied Artificial Intelligence (EAI) as an emerging branch of AI, covering overall technical requirements for environmental perception and autonomous task execution capabilities.

5.2 Benchmarking & Data Collection

Formulates detailed standards for comprehensively evaluating the capabilities of embodied intelligence in executing tasks in real and simulated environments, as well as safely and standardly collecting multimodal control data via teleoperation.

ITU-T F.TR-ED: Technical requirements for embodied artificial intelligence teleoperation data collection systems in real-world scenarios (2025)
Standardizes the framework for teleoperation data collection systems of embodied intelligence in real-world scenarios, including explicit conventions for device calibration, multimodal input signals (vision, force), and unified data metadata structures.

ITU-T F.BA-EAI: Framework for benchmarking and assessment of embodied artificial intelligence systems (2025)
Provides normative guidance for the capability testing benchmark framework of embodied AI systems.
